Rosewood Rediscovering An Almost forgotten Past! (1923)

Great Job, Professor Marvin Dunn!

You are keeping history alive by resurrecting what had been buried beneath the rubbish pile of time, space, and destiny. So keep walking in the spirit of real love and understanding; never deviating from the path of those that preceded you in the struggle for peace, justice and equality for all life sources upon this planet.

Mr. Dunn remain at the train station with your boxcars of fearlessness and keep your train moving towards the East until it arrive in Gainesville with freedom (today) as it was in 1923 with the people from Rosewood. Always remembering those that were murdered there in Rosewood. Much like the thirteen (Souls) Blacks that were murdered in the Brooks and Lowndes County Georgia massacre in May 1918, and known today around the world as “The Week of Terror.”

Most noteworthy was the lynching of a Black Female named “Mary Turner” which was eight months pregnant and had her eight month old child cut from her womb, and head crushed beneath a White Mob Members boot. It is my prayer that Oprah and others will join you in your efforts.

Lastly: I am forever thankful to the Miami Herald, Steve Johnson along with other reporters and invite them to South Georgia. So the historical past can also be resurrected from the rubbish pile. The citizens of South Georgia need news media outlets that are free and will not contribute to keeping citizens deaf, dumb, and blind for all times.
